Cancellation By You
If you cancel some or all portions of your booking the cancellation terms set out below will apply.
A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you cancel a trip:
Any credit resulting from cancellation under this clause (Cancellation by you) does not have an expiry date and may be applied towards any other available trip offered by us. This credit is not transferrable or redeemable for cash. This credit excludes flights or insurance as they will have their own booking conditions.
If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced, we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. If you fail to join a trip, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made. The above cancellation terms are in addition to fees which may be levied by accommodation providers, travel agents or third-party tour and transport operator fees.
Cancellation by us
In the event that we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or receive a refund, unless your trip is cancelled due to a Force Majeure Event, (as defined below)
Cancellation due to Force Majeure
If a trip is cancelled due to a Force Majeure Event, we will offer:
(a) a refund minus unrecoverable costs.
If the cancellation due to a Force Majeure Event occurs after a trip has commenced, we will offer a pro-rata
(a) refund minus unrecoverable costs of the days that remain on your trip.
A “Force Majeure Event” includes but is not limited to: acts of God; war; civil commotion; riot; blockade or embargo; fire; explosion; breakdown; union dispute; earthquake; epidemic, pandemic or other health emergency; flood; windstorm or other extreme weather event; lack or failure of courses of supply; passage of any law, order, proclamation, regulation, ordinance, demand, requisition or requirement or any other act of any government authority, beyond the reasonable control of the parties, whether or not foreseeable, which would make it dangerous or not viable for a trip to commence or continue.
In the event of any cancellation, there will be no claim for damages by either party against the other and we are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.
Cancellation due to Covid
We understand that we are living in unusual times. Should you or an immediate traveling partner be medically diagnosed with Covid-19 within 14 days of the trip departure, we will retain the non-refundable deposit, and refund all additional monies paid by you, excluding any monies paid to our suppliers that are non refundable to us. A positive Covid-19 test must be provided.
If the Government of Egypt completely restrict entry to the country due to Covid, resulting in the cancellation of the tour, we will retain the non-refundable deposit, and refund all additional monies paid by you, excluding any monies paid to our suppliers that are non refundable to us.
If you contract Covid during the tour, we will be unable to refund any monies paid by you.
If you choose not to meet the entry requirements of the country (full vaccination or negative covid test) due to personal believes, we will not consider this a reasonable cancellation reason and the normal cancellation policy will apply.
Worldschooling Central reserves the right to cancel any adventure because of low registration (required numbers for each trip are displayed on booking pages) or events beyond their control. In the unlikely event of cancellation, registrants will be notified and offered the option to switch to a different adventure or receive a full refund.
We recommend refraining from purchasing airfares until we advise you in writing that the trip is full and will run. If an adventure is ever canceled by us for any reason, you will be notified immediately and will receive a complete refund of all fees, less any incurred PayPal or bank transfer fees. If cancellation is required, Worldschooling Central is not responsible for any expenses (travel or lodging) incurred beyond the registration fees.
